You can Do All Things Through Christ

Introduction

God is great and very much loving. You were created in His image and likeness. His nature is in you. The Apostle Paul says, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13). This is one of the portions of scripture that encourages believers.

This needs to be confessed or affirmed now and again. It changes your attitude toward life as well as your belief system. This happens through the following:

  1. Trials

Victory is not about the trophies and medals. It happens when you are alone in the wilderness. In order for victory to be announces, there has to be challenges and difficult times one goes through. Apostle James said, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4).

Christ gives us strength as we go through tough times. It is great to note that God has given you the full armour according to Ephesians 6:13, “Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.”

  1. Contentment

There is often a challenge in becoming content in life. Believers find themselves fighting against disappointments, setbacks, and delays on what we expect in life.

But our faith in Christ moves our eyes to go beyond the frustrations of that surround us. Paul said some encouraging words whilst in prison. He said, “I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” (Philippians 4:12).

Focusing on what really matters removes worries. Let us look at what Jesus said about focus and worries. “Mat 6:32  For the nations seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

Mat 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:32-33).

People are searching for food, what to drink, and what to put on. But basically, this is about caring or worrying about our daily necessities. The good news is that Jesus Christ has given us strength and ability to see beyond our present circumstances and to trust in him to provide everything we truly need.

  1. Christ’s victory

You do not need to make up your own victory because Jesus has already won. He obtained victory for us. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says, “But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Jesus died in our place and came back to life as a true conqueror. All that He accomplished got credited to our account. Therefore, we have peace. “I have spoken these things to you so that you might have peace in Me. In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.”

We now have a fresh start as given by the Lord Jesus Christ. “So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Conclusion

You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. What a great God we serve! We go through several trials in our lives, but you can overcome as the Lord strengthens you. You can be content in all kinds of situations. Christ’s victory is yours. Go and face the world enforcing the victory of Christ.
