Building the Foundations of Triumph

I am sure you want to see positive results in your life. You want to see whatever you pray for come to pass. It is possible! Your life needs three things: faith, hope, and love. The three work together to deliver results.

They are the three forces required to receive anything from the Lord. Believers in Bible times used them to do exploits for God. We shall read from 1 Corinthians 13:13:

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Let us dive into our lesson.

 1. Hope

Hope prepares the way for faith. It is the breeding ground for the Spirit of faith. To be hopeless is to be helpless. Hope must be lively.

 1 Peter 1:3

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who [9†]according to His abundant mercy [10†]has begotten us again to a living hope [11†]through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

 Romans 8:32

“He who did not spare His own Son, but [50†]delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

God has freely given us all things. The above scriptures give us hope. They are the basis of hope, which we need to embrace.

2. Faith

Faith is the second foundation for our triumph. Hebrews 11:1 reads:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence [1†]of things not seen.”

Where there is no hope, faith has nothing to give substance to. We could say that hope, therefore, is the “wife” of faith. No man can have a child without a woman, no matter how strong he is.

Hope tells you it is possible, faith makes it possible. As a result of faith, what is available becomes attainable.

 James 2:20

But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”

As we can see from this scripture, action must correlate with what we want to achieve or believe God to provide. A suitable example is the woman with the blood issue in the Bible. She heard about Jesus and started speaking words of faith. She spoke about what she would do to receive her healing and did it. What happened? She touched the hem of Jesus’ garment. Therefore, you need to act on what you believe.

3. Love

Faith works through love. The scripture below shows us the importance of love and how it is linked to faith.

Galatians 5:6

“For [8†]in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but [9†]faith working through love.”

The quality of your faith depends on the quality of your love. Love is the instrument for activating your faith for maximum delivery. By faith, we activate God's word. Then God commits to fulfilling His promise.

This is your love for God. It is a spiritual catalyst that accelerates your faith's ability to deliver.

Love must be proven. John 3:16 records the following:

[16†]For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten [17†]Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God proved His love to us.

 Example

Let us look at the example of the three foundations or forces operating together in Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego according to Daniel 3:16-18. The three young men fulfilled the 3 foundations.

May I remind you that we have looked at the three fundamentals or forces of triumph in life. And those are hope, faith, and love. The greatest of all is love. Why? Love sticks everything together. Cultivate these three forces in your life. They work together. You cannot separate them. With hope, faith and love, you will see your prayers answered. You will manifest your desires.
