Why did I entitle the subject as “the road to financial success?” It is simply because success is not a quick or overnight thing. It is a road to be travelled. Good success in life requires that one travels with God in it. That shall help make our financial success to last. God wants His children to be successful and rich. Under this subject we shall look at several key issues. We shall not finish it today.
We shall use the following scriptures to base our discussions:
1 Timothy 6:17; Proverbs 11:28
“(BSB) Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6:17).
(GNB) Those who depend on their wealth will fall like the leaves of autumn, but the righteous will prosper like the leaves of summer.” (Proverbs 11:28).
The key thing is to decide to follow principles. Why should you follow principles?
1) Principles are not changed by life circumstances
2) A principle is impersonal
God wants you to be financially successful according to 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers.” God wants you to prosper in every way. He wants you to be in good health. He wants you to have lots of money, own cars, good houses, and other nice things.
